Sound exists everywhere. Even not aware of its existence, we are living surrounded by sounds. Even there is also sounds in the vast universe too. When you sit down somewhere without earphones, you’ll finally notice all noises - footsteps, car engine, voices, ambulance siren, the flutter sound of trees in the wind, etc… Sound makes people feel more energetic and atmospheric. Imagine there is no sound, such as dialogue, background music… every sound, in film. It will be very boring and vapid!

When most people are focusing on visible, I’m always concentrating on what I’ve heard. As Ms. Background Music, which is my nickname since I was teenager, matching background music with the scene and recording Foley are what I crave the most. My work, especially recording Foley, is makes me live creative. I’m eager to make audience feel like they’re in the scene by making sound real.
